Discussion on the use of LED screens in creating visually stunning displays and how it impacts audience engagement
The use of LED screens has revolutionised the way we create visually stunning displays and engage with audiences. These screens offer a “wow factor” that was previously unattainable with traditional displays like projectors without dark environments. They are captivating, drawing in the attention of viewers and immersing them in the experience. LED screens allow for dynamic visuals, vivid colours, and high resolutions, creating a truly breathtaking visual display. As a result, audience engagement has increased, as people become more interested and invested in the experience. With the ability to create stunning displays and captivate audiences, LED screens have become a game-changer in the world of visual communication and immersive LED rooms.
The LED Displays that Light Up The Lighthouse
The showcase of LED displays at the Lighthouse, include the ‘History Wall’ that measured 1.98m (w) x 2.48m (h) and displays content showing Pixel Artwork’s recent projects including the Dubai Airport project that Dynamo and Pixel previously collaborated on. ‘The Bar’ which features an LED wall split up by joinery into 28 sections that Pixel use to show video content in the individual sections as well as the screen as a whole which measures 5.45m (w) x 1.48m (h) in total. The ‘Interactive Wall’ that features incredible AI integration allowing visitors to input prompts via a tablet which it then uses to manipulate the camera feed from the screen that measured 3m (w) x 2.5m (h) to display imagery relating to the original prompt. Lastly and arguably most spectacular is an Immersive LED Room ‘The Originals Theatre’, a huge 16.36m (w) x 2.48m (h), 1.95mm pixel pitch, 270º immersive room showcasing various content including a miniature version of Pixel’s Outernet experience ‘The Butterfly Trail’.
Digital Art as a Marketing Medium
Digital art has always pushed the boundaries of creativity and innovation. But these days, technological advancements are revolutionising the way we consume and market it. Resin protections and low pixel pitch are two of these game-changing innovations. Resin coatings provide a protective layer to digital artworks, making them more durable and resistant to wear and tear. With low pixel pitch, the display resolution of digital art is higher, which allows for closer viewing. This enhances the viewer’s experience and makes it possible to appreciate even the smallest details in the art. Thanks to these technologies, digital art is now more accessible, interactive, and marketable than ever before. The possibilities for using digital art as a medium for marketing and brand promotion are endless, and we’re excited to see what the future holds.
Tom Burch on the Immersive LED Room – The Originals Theatre
In an interview with the creators of the Pixel Artworks Lighthouse, discussing their process and inspiration for incorporating the immersive LED room into their office environment. Tom Burch, managing director said the following;
“The Originals Theatre is our 270º wraparound LED space in The Lighthouse, the home of Pixel Artworks. It was designed to showcase our slate of Originals experiences – Pixel Artworks owned IP experiences – and offer clients an educational experience on LED technology.
We designed the LED room with curved corners to create a more seamless viewing experience and to avoid breaks in perspective which occur using 3d workflows on conventional or square corners. As the Originals Theatre is dedicated to featuring the best of our content experiences, we opted for the 1.9mm DRE series over SMD due to its superior contrast and colour reproduction. The resin coating also provides the required durability for an audience who get very close to the screen.
We are delighted to acknowledge our partnership with Dynamo for this project, they were supportive and knowledgeable throughout the entire process”.
