LED Tickers From Dynamo LED Installed In Harrods Windows

Harrods, the famous London department store which first opened over 170 years ago in 1849 recently commissioned Dynamo LED Displays to install a total of 27 LED tickers in nearly all of its windows along Brompton Road and Hans Crescent. The World famous store which was sold by Mohamed Al Fayed to the state of Qatar in 2010 for nearly £1.5 billion is the largest department store in Europe and even boasts its own postcode SW1X 7XL.

LED tickers are an excellent way of relaying information or branding in an eye catching manner and the Harrods design team incorporated them into their design alongside white LED lighting in the windows to fabulous effect. The Logos of each designer that is showcasing in the windows is scrolled slowly across the p3mm LED tickers 24hrs a day.

Installed over 3 nights the tickers have been placed horizontally on Hans Crescent and vertically on Brompton Road. Dynamo LED was offered the opportunity to have their logo placed onto the windows on Brompton Road and this gave enormous pleasure to operations director Yvonne McDonald who said “working with Harrods, one of, if not the most famous department store in the world is one of the biggest highlights of my career. I was really impressed with the design’s simple modern look and being a part of bringing it to life was extremely satisfying.”
