Dynamo LED Displays have completed the installation of a Digital Art Video Wall at the Citypoint skyscraper in London

Citypoint LED Display Dynamo’s latest Digital Art Video Wall was installed at the Citypoint skyscraper which was previously known as the Britannic Tower and is located on Ropemaker Street in the City of London. Digital art is the process of displaying art in a digital manner in a technologically created format. In this case digitally generated content was displayed on a large LED video wall whereas previous installations have featured famous paintings shown on high specification LED screens and video walls. Measuring 10.88m x 4.68m the LED screen consisted of a total of 221 modular LED cabinets each measuring 640mm x 360mm (the 16:9 golden ratio). The installation featured Dynamo LED’s new customised IC chip which enables high refresh rates (up to 3840hz on this project’s configuration) as well as excellent colour reproduction and high levels of greyscale. These all work together to create an amazing visual experience. Citypoint LED screen The overall resolution of 4352 pixels by 1872 pixels required a Nova MCTRL4k LED processor set to a custom output that displayed pixel for pixel the custom digital artwork that was curated by acrylicize. Dynamo LED Displays have been involved in a number of digital art installations having previously worked on projects involving Mark Leckey and various other artists. acrylicize who are based in both East London and Seattle are responsible for a vast array of incredible art and design installations worldwide that focus on using art for telling stories as well as showcasing brand’s identities. The 2.5mm LED display was installed during July 2020 over the space of just 6 days for the Brookfiled asset management company whose headquarters are in Toronto while also having corporate offices in New York, Rio de Janeiro, Sydney and London.
